Paris Travel Guide
/Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, and culture. It is one of my favorite cities filled with so many things to do .
Eiffel Tower
What better way to start of your trip to Paris than with a visit to the most iconic landmark in Paris…the Eiffel Tower aka The Iron Lady. . When we visit Paris, we always visit at least once, and every time we are amazed at the sheer scale of this beautiful building. The best view of the Eiffel Tower is at the Trocadero Gardens across the river or Champ de Mars gardens behind the Tower. You would definitely have to enjoy it during daytime and nighttime.
Seine River
Another must do in Paris is to cruise through the Seine River. The cruise takes in all the highlights from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, and there’s commentary included so it is a wonderful way to see the city. We booked our ticket through Bateaux Mouches.
Notre Dame
Next stop is the most beautiful cathedral of Notre Dame. Construction of this magnificent building took nearly two hundred years, and was completed in 1345. After the fire in 2019 the cathedral is closed but it is still worth it to see the beautiful facade.
The Latin Quarter
The Latin Quarter is a cute neighborhood filled with bistros and live atmosphere. It is known for the famous bookstore Shakespeare and Company. It even have a cafe close by called Shakespeare and Co cafe so make sure to check it out.
The Louvre Museum
The Louvre is the world's largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris, France. It is one of the most popular museums and it is the home of the famous painting Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Make sure to buy your ticket ahead to avoid waiting in line
Arc De Triomphe
Arc De Triomphe is located by Champs Elysees, Paris’s most famous shopping street. The Arc de Triomphe was built in memory of those who died in the French Revolution and Napoloenic Wars. You can climb all the way to the terrace to see the whole view of Paris. We spend all afternoon people watching and shopping at the famous Champs Elysees street.
Galleries Lafayette
Galleries Lafayette is a French department store chain. The architect is so beautiful inside so definitely stopped in to look at it.
Palace De Versailles
Palace De Versailles is the incredible palace that was the seat of French political power and home to French Royalty, including Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. It is a little further away from the city so make sure you have time allocated to visit this iconic palace. Make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time as this place gets extremely busy.
